is a cheat code to return stronger to your sport

Hey, I’m Tim Wong

I’m a Registered Massage Therapist, Movement Coach, and Personal Trainer.

I’ve been treating and resolving the injuries, aches and pains of Toronto’s athletic community for the last 10 years.

I’ve helped hundreds of Torontonians aim towards life-time personal bests, dominate at their sport, without sacrificing their long term health and wellness.

But it wasn’t always like that…

I’ve been through my share of injuries and went to many therapists experiencing relief but without receiving any longer lasting solutions.

I went through it all:

The trying everything I could find on the internet and social media
The costly and time-wasting treatments
The lack of results and loss of hope

I wanted to throw in the towel and stop my goals of competing at a high level in Weightlifting and Soccer

Maybe you can relate?

Let me help you fast track your road to recovery.
I use some of the best Massage Therapy techniques that I've learned over my life

4 Types of P-DTR that we utilize at the Holistic Move

Receptor-specific point stimulation

P-DTR involves the identification and stimulation of specific neuroreceptors that are believed to be dysfunctional or sending incorrect information to the central nervous system. By applying precise pressure or manual stimulation to these receptors, the therapist aims to restore their proper function and improve the neural signaling.

Manual muscle testing

Manual muscle testing is a fundamental technique in P-DTR. The therapist assesses the strength and function of various muscles to identify any imbalances or abnormalities. Weakness or dysfunction in specific muscles can indicate issues with the nervous system and guide the therapist in determining the appropriate treatment approach.

Repetitive activation techniques

P-DTR employs repetitive activation techniques to retrain and reset the nervous system. By repeatedly activating and stimulating specific receptors or muscle groups, the therapist aims to restore normal neural firing patterns and improve overall function. This may involve gentle tapping, pressure, or specific movement patterns.

Neurological resets

P-DTR utilizes neurological resets to restore normal function to the nervous system. These resets can involve various techniques, such as stimulating specific points on the body or performing specific movements that target the dysfunctional neural pathways. The goal is to interrupt faulty patterns and create new, healthier neural connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

As an RMT, I will continue to offer high-quality therapeutic massage therapy treatments. In addition, with my additional education and training in functional neurology, I can offer patients an integrative approach that often has many longer-lasting benefits. Using a functional neurology-based therapy like P-DTR, we identify the movements that cause your symptoms, perform a specific treatment, retest the same movement after treatment, then provide you with the appropriate exercises for “homework” to solidify our results. Rest assured, I am also Certified and Licensed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

I often hear from my patients that they have tried nearly everything to resolve their issues or meet their fitness goals. Since every case is unique, this is why I have an initial assessment appointment for first timer visitors. It allows me to understand the problem better, ask the proper questions, and recommend the best treatment for your needs.

P-DTR is a sensory-based assessment and treatment approach that addresses neurological dysfunctions in the body using manual muscle testing and palpation to identify specific points of dysfunction. By targeting receptors and pathways, precise touch techniques are used to reset neurological connections and restore proper function. This approach aims to resolve acute or chronic pain, improve movement quality, and restore overall health by addressing the root cause of dysfunction in the sensory system. For more information, check out services

I work with people from all walks of life! From the weekend warrior to the seasoned athlete, I will always find the most effective way for everyone to find success in meeting their goals.

No! P-DTR (Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Reflex) is a gentle manual therapy that typically does not cause pain. It is overall a non-invasive therapy that is well-tolerated by most people and is designed to create a positive and pain-free experience for the client.
